Position summary:
The Sheeter Operator is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of sheeted paperboard to the plant.
Responsiblities
- Set up sheeter to assure accurate square cuts
- Pull roll stock for all jobs to be cut and deliver stock to the appropriate area
- Keep the sheeter running at maximum production level
- Keep the work area neat and clean
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and lubrication of the sheeter and other equipment that is used in the work area
- Unload raw materials from delivery trucks and stack stock in appropriate warehouse and work areas
- Check out stock for quality
- Fill out load tickets for each job run and enter information in computer
- Perform other duties assigned or required
- Follow all QA procedures pertaining to the sheeter
- May be required to perform several set-ups per shift
Typical mental demands
- Able to read and write at High School equivalency
- Have general working knowledge of Mathematics (especially with fractions and decimals)
- Have a working knowledge of the industry
- Able to read and comprehend job orders
- Must be able to use various measuring devices
- Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to work overtime when required
- Must be able to get to work on a daily basis and on time
- Must have a forklift and roll clamp certification
Should be willing to perform all other duties or assignments as required by members of management.
