Nesco Resource is currently hiring for a Machine Operator with a reputable manufacturing company located in Mauldin, South Carolina. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term stability for dependable and hardworking candidates.
Position Overview
The Ribbon Department Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment used in rubber manufacturing. This position involves working with rubber mixing mills, calenders, and other specialized machines to produce high-quality rubber-coated fabric products.
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor machinery such as:

Rubber mixing mill and calender (rubber industry standard equipment)

Rotopress or Rotocure machines

Laminator (to apply pressure-sensitive adhesive to fabric-backed rubber coatings)

Cameron slitter (to convert jumbo master rolls into smaller coils per work orders)

Read and interpret work orders, process flow records, and production instructions.

Perform measurements using tape measures and digital thickness gauges.

Conduct quality checks to ensure all materials meet required specifications.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Follow all safety and operational procedures.

Assist with basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation required.

Experience with nitrile, carboxylated nitrile, natural rubber, neoprene, hypalon, or EPDM is a plus.

Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Forklift experience preferred (training available).

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic are essential.

Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
