Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour, based on experience
Hours: 6:00AM-2:30PM, OT may be required
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated CNC Machinist to join our Tooling team! In this role, you will set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machinery, performing complex machining operations to exact specifications while maintaining tight tolerances.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment based on production schedules and job specs
- Perform in-process inspections and on-demand adjustments to ensure parts meet tolerance and quality standards
- Interpret and machine parts according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Identify, change, and maintain proper tooling for each job
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate effectively with other team members and shifts regarding progress and quality
- Follow all safety and internal quality standards
- Share process improvement ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Train or mentor junior staff as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training or trade school preferred
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience (set-up, adjustment, operation)
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
- Familiarity with tight tolerance machining and inspection practices
- Basic to moderate shop math skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and support team growth
- Understanding of aerospace/defense quality standards (FOD, airworthiness) is a plus
