Job Summary:
The Edgebander Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining edgebanding machines used in the production of cabinetry. This role ensures high-quality edge finishes are applied to panels, working from production orders and drawings while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate edgebanding machine

Read and interpret production drawings, job orders, and material specifications.

Feed and align panels properly to ensure accurate and consistent edging.

Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or quality defects.

Inspect finished panels to ensure they meet required tolerances and finish standards.

Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, feed speed, glue amount) as needed.

Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery.

Track material usage and report any inventory shortages or quality issues.

Follow company safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and targets.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating woodworking or edgebanding machinery.

Familiarity with woodworking materials

Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift panels (up to 50 lbs).
Working Conditions:

Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to dust, noise, and machine operations.
