Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a fast-paced vitamin and dietary supplement manufacturing facility. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment (blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, bottling lines, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Document all maintenance activities in compliance with FDA, GMP, and company standards.
  • Assist in the installation and qualification of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and request replacements as needed.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and training as required.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in standing, climbing, or crouching positions for extended periods.


Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and occasional chemical handling (PPE provided).
  • May require working overtime, weekends, or off-hours in response to urgent maintenance needs.
