Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Signage Installer to join our dynamic team. The Signage Installer will be responsible for the professional installation of various types of signage, including exterior and interior signs, illuminated displays, vinyl graphics, and vehicle wraps. This role requires technical expertise, physical stamina, and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sign Installation:
  • Install a variety of signage, including channel letters, monument signs, wall graphics, vehicle wraps, and illuminated signs, at client locations.
  • Safely operate equipment such as ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and cranes to install signs at various heights and locations.
  • Secure signs using appropriate mounting techniques, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Perform electrical connections for illuminated signs, including wiring and LED installations, following safety protocols.
  • Site Preparation and Assessment:
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, including measurements, structural considerations, and permitting needs.
  • Coordinate with clients and project managers to ensure proper placement and alignment of signage.
  • Prepare installation sites by clearing obstacles, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Perform maintenance on existing signage, including replacing bulbs, LEDs, or damaged components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with sign functionality, such as electrical or structural problems.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to OSHA standards, local regulations, and company safety policies during all installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures when working at heights or with electrical systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure installations meet design specifications and client expectations.
  • Provide updates on project progress and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
  • Document completed installations with photos and reports for project records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical work or construction is a plus.
  • 1 years of experience in sign installation or a related field (e.g., construction, electrical, or carpentry).
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring for illuminated signage.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients on-site.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with vinyl application or vehicle wraps.
  • Knowledge of local sign codes, permitting processes, and zoning regulations.
  • Certification in operating aerial lifts or other heavy equipment.
