As a Bonded Assembler, you’ll work with advanced materials like honeycomb, composites, and fiberglass to build precision components used in structural assemblies.

What You’ll Do

Assemble and install structural sub-assemblies following detailed specifications.

Build components using jigs, fixtures, and tools to ensure precise placement and alignment.

Drill, ream, rivet, and install fasteners as required.

Position and bond parts using specific layup processes.

Fabricate small parts (such as shims, brackets, gussets, and stiffeners).

Load and unload jigs, perform rework as needed, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Use measurement tools and shop equipment to verify accuracy and quality.

Support other production tasks as needed to meet team goals.
What We’re Looking For

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: 1–2 years of assembly or fabrication experience preferred (aerospace background a plus).

Skills:

Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and mylars.

Familiarity with adhesive and pre-preg material handling.

Comfort using precision measurement tools and understanding tolerances.

Basic math skills (decimals, fractions, percentages — geometry/trigonometry a plus).

Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.

Must meet certification requirements and be able to perform tool prep, bagging, and vacuum operations.
Work Environment

Fast-paced, hands-on production setting.

Regular exposure to mechanical equipment, humidity, and airborne particles (safety gear provided).

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and bending.

Safety gear required: hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel/composite-toe shoes.

Annual baseline hearing test provided.
