A day in the life:
- Continuously explore the market for prospective clients that can benefit from our services.
- Drive sales cycle from the initial contact to closing the sale.
- Build strong ties with community organizations.
- Market our value proposition with an ear to trends, competitors, and client needs.
- Find opportunities to grow service relationships with existing clients. Forge strategic partnerships with clients, understanding their unique needs and delivering customized recruitment and business solutions.
- Conduct quality reviews and monitor contract compliance.
- Keep client management system and paperwork up-to-date.
- Promote a culture of hard work and tenacity.
- Source resumes to establish candidate pools.
- Recruit and interview qualified candidates.
- Match candidates with appropriate opportunities and submit to the clients.
- Build candidate and client relationships through extensive interaction and diligent follow up.
- Write job descriptions and post job ads.
- Negotiate and present employment offers.
- Cultivate a personal portfolio of clients and candidates, focusing on both maintaining existing relationships and developing new ones.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Discovery skills to find the client needs behind the qualification bullet points
- Interview savvy to uncover the talent and potential buried in resume text
- Relentless approach to daily work and the grit to see it through
- Proven ability to interact professionally and authentically with clients and candidates
- Competitive spirit and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Previous experience in sales and recruitment, with a strong emphasis on lead generation and sales process management
- Ability to make cold calls and perform sales presentations
- Ability to switch priorities quickly with a high level of organization to be able to “run your own desk”
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence, the ability to gain acceptance of ideas, and the ability to build trust
- Exceptional customer service skills and business ethics
- Driven, energetic, and tenacious; willing to work extended hours when necessary and perform at a high level of productivity
- Highly adaptable to change
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Willingness to attend networking events
