Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical component drawings and fabrication packages that support product development and manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with engineers to transform concepts and layouts into precise, production-ready designs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare fabrication packages for mechanical components using CAD tools.

  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models based on conceptual sketches, layouts, and engineering input.

  • Optimize component designs for performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design intent is accurately captured.

  • Manage and maintain drawing revision control in accordance with company document control procedures.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD; ability to learn new CAD programs quickly.

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and principles of design for manufacturability.

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with ITAR-controlled data (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ANSI and ASME design standards.

  • Experience using Mentor Graphics for printed circuit board (PCB) design.


Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with 2D/3D drafting and modeling using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
