Automotive Painter
Taylor, MI 48180 | Full-Time | Onsite
Pay: $24–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Must be available for overtime as needed
Position Overview
Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Automotive Painter for our client in Taylor, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive refinishing, bodywork, and paint preparation, with the ability to deliver high-quality finishes that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform base coat and clear coat applications with precision and consistency.

Wet sand, buff, and polish vehicles to achieve smooth, professional finishes.

Conduct body repairs and welding as required to prepare vehicles for paint.

Prepare and mask vehicles for painting, ensuring proper surface preparation and cleanliness.

Match and coordinate paint colors accurately using color-matching tools or techniques.

Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components such as fascias, doors, and trim.

Operate and maintain paint sprayers and related equipment safely and effectively.

Perform both heavy and light bodywork as needed to ensure quality results.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality standards.

Work independently and collaboratively to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive painting and refinishing.

Strong knowledge of auto body paints, materials, and finishes.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
