Program Manager

Overview
Nesco Resource is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our client's team in Detroit, MI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading projects from concept to completion. You'll oversee all phases of program execution—from prototype builds to full-scale Automotive Retrofit Repair—ensuring deliverables meet quality, cost, and timing goals.
The Program Manager will act as the key connection between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, guiding complex initiatives with precision, professionalism, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between the company and customer teams, including Product Engineering, Program Management, Launch, Plant, and Supplier Quality, from PSO kickoff through project completion.

Coordinate and track all program activities, maintaining up-to-date action logs, timelines, and performance metrics.

Manage and update program timing plans, ensuring all customer-driven changes are communicated clearly and implemented effectively.

Lead prototype and pre-production build activities, driving on-time execution and quality results.

Represent the company during customer and supplier meetings, providing confident communication and clear direction.

Partner closely with the Quality team to meet internal and external standards for every project phase.

Conduct supplier meetings, document outcomes, and ensure follow-up on open actions throughout PSO and post-SOP phases.

Monitor program health and performance, identifying potential risks early and developing proactive mitigation plans.

Participate in customer change meetings, ensuring all updates and new requirements are fully executed.

Foster collaboration across departments and ensure seamless communication between customers, suppliers, and internal support teams.
Qualifications

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and accountability.

3–5 years of experience working with MS Word and Excel in a professional setting.

Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Comfortable working in diverse environments including automotive shops, OEM tents, and yard settings.
Preferred Skills

Background in the automotive or repair industry is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with OEM systems and processes.

Knowledge of CDA/Flash systems is a plus.

A genuine passion for the automotive industry and hands-on work with vehicles.
