Skid Steer Joystick Operator
Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate skid steer loaders with joystick controls to transport, load, and organize materials.
- Move raw materials to production areas and remove finished or excess material from work zones.
- Perform equipment inspections before and after shifts; report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions to maintain plant efficiency.
- Keep work areas clean and free of obstructions to support safety and production flow.
- Assist with basic equipment upkeep, including fueling, cleaning, and minor maintenance.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movement and production needs.
- Perform other duties in the plant as assigned.
- Previous experience operating skid steer loaders with joystick controls required.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.
- Physical ability to work in dusty conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license required; heavy equipment certification a plus.
- Indoor/outdoor plant setting.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
- Requires use of PPE (safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, steel-toe boots, and face mask as needed).
- Shift work, overtime, and weekends may be required.
