Job Title: Inspector
Location: Gates, NY

Summary: Join our dedicated quality assurance team as an Inspector, where your attention to detail and commitment to precision will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and operating inspection devices, interpreting work orders and engineering drawings, and verifying that all products meet established specifications and tolerance levels.

Shift:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay:
  • $17.00 - $23 per hour, depending on experience.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Gather necessary materials and devices for each inspection job.
  • Use fixed or preset measuring tools to inspect product attributes such as size, tolerance, color, and fit.
  • Ensure all materials and finished products meet established quality and performance standards.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications to conduct accurate inspections.
  • Inspect, sort, count, package, and label products as per job instructions.
  • Conduct inspections based on recommended Statistical Quality Control (SQC) levels.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, including defect tracking, quantities passed/failed, and time spent per job.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines and participate in safety training sessions.
  • Support and maintain LEAN manufacturing practices.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after each job.
  • Cross-train in various areas including sheet and part inspection, assembly, machining, screen printing, digital imaging, and more.
Qualifications:
  • Prior inspection or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, drawings, and memos.
  • Strong math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Effective reasoning and problem-solving ability in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Strong time management and professionalism.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 5 pounds.
  • Visual abilities must include color vision and focus adjustment.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Safety and ergonomic accommodations available as needed.
