Part-Time HR Assistant (Contract-to-Hire)
20–25 hours/week | $25–$30/hour | Flexible schedule
We're seeking a hands-on HR professional to join our team for an initial 4–6-month assignment with strong potential to become a permanent part-time role. This position supports a full range of human resources functions and is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys both strategic HR tasks and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:

ADP Workforce Administration: Set up new hires and terminations, process pay-rate changes, manage benefit enrollments and rate adjustments, create forms, and run complex reports and census projects.

Benefits Support: Assist employees with benefit questions and open enrollment, coordinate with carriers/brokers, and prepare census data and reports.

Recruiting & Onboarding: Maintain applicant rosters, schedule interviews, create offer letters and termination documents, and facilitate new-hire orientations.

Employee Relations & Compliance: Prepare write-ups, participate in employee conversations, maintain personnel files, and ensure compliance postings are current.

General HR Projects: Prepare ADP/Excel reports, manage copying and filing, help with employee events, order lunches, and other HR initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:

Proven expertise with ADP Workforce and strong Excel skills.

Solid benefits knowledge, including open enrollment and carrier communication.

Experience in manufacturing and familiarity with attendance/point systems preferred.

Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Schedule & Flexibility:

Typical coverage around 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. a few days per week is preferred, but hours are highly flexible. Options include 4 shorter days or occasional 3 longer days, with the ability to shift earlier or later to support different shifts.
This is not an entry-level admin role— we're looking for a true HR professional ready to make an immediate impact across recruiting, benefits, and employee relations.
