NESCO Resource is Hiring Slitter Machine Operator:
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Bonus: $1,000 Retention Bonus after 90 days of employment
Extras: Shift Differential Pay Attendance Bonus
Job Overview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking candidates to join our team as Slitter / Traverse Machine Operators. No prior experience is necessary—we provide full training! This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Machine Setup

Load stock material according to customer specifications

Thread material through the winder

Set and adjust machine speed for cutting
Machine Operation

Monitor print film alignment and tape cutting intervals

Maintain correct machine speeds during production

Collect appropriate amounts of material on take-up spools

Remove ("doff”) materials when spools are complete

Pack finished products into boxes or onto pallets

Complete production tickets, including machine hours, downtime, and man hours

Keep work area around the machine clean and organized
Tools Used: Machine, scissors, razor blades, Allen wrenches, screwdriver, ruler
Physical Requirements

Lifting: Up to 65 lbs. (assistance available when needed)

Carrying: Spools/pads up to 8–10 feet

Standing: Constantly required during setup, threading, and checks

Walking: Frequent throughout shift

Sitting: Minimal
-
Other Movements: Bending, stooping, reaching, handling, occasional kneeling and climbing

Driving: Forklift operation required
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Prior manufacturing experience (2–5 years) helpful but not required

Basic math skills

Ability to follow written procedures and training in detail

Strong attention to quality and accuracy in documentation

Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Willingness to follow safety and operational procedures

Ability to troubleshoot machinery and production processes
Tools May Include: Utility knife, tape dispenser, staple machine, forklift, hand truck, calculator, wrapping machine, computer
