Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible to perform product and process audits to monitor and report part performance; evaluate supplier product; monitor containment activities for supplier and customer issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform process audits of manufacturing.
- Perform LPAs.
- Perform product audits.
- Perform supplier product audits (inbound inspection).
- Collect part data (QIS).
- Generates and shares defect data reports as assigned.
- Support & train production on quality criteria.
- Collects data for supplier problems.
- Review & authorize supplier rejects.
- Define containment plans for supplier issues, monitor containment activity for customer issues.
- Execute reaction plans for nonconforming results.
- Solve problems.
- Obeys all safety rules and policies.
- Responsible for their own personal safety and that of their fellow employees.
- Follows safety standard operating procedures (SOP's) specific to their job.
- Immediately report and hazard or any defect in the equipment, which may endanger themselves or another employee, to their Supervisor/Manager.
- Properly wears the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the employer as required.
- Employees are responsible to maintain and keep their workstation clean and tidy.
- Reports any accident/incident immediately to their Supervisor/Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Supervisor.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated; ability to work with teams in different facilities.
- Problem solving skills.
- Core tools knowledge: SPC, Control Plans, Operation Standards.
- Computer skills required to execute assigned systems/tools.
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- >3 years manufacturing experience.
- Preferred knowledge of QAD.
