Material Handling Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $20.35 /hour (includes base rate 10% shift differential)
Position Summary:
The Material Handling Technician is responsible for both physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role supports inventory control and production operations and ensures accurate handling and documentation of materials.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices

Maintain accurate records of received goods; reject and document any unsatisfactory items

Prepare items for shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed

Distribute materials to inventory and production lines

Stock inventory and maintain warehouse organization

Prepare and assemble kits for production, as required

Follow standard operating procedures with moderate supervision
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a warehouse, logistics, or materials handling environment

English proficiency required to follow safety protocols and operational procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:

Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Basic math skills

Solid understanding of standard safety practices and procedures
