Nesco Resource is seeking a Commercial Recruiter to join our team in Clinton Township, MI. Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and placing candidates for a variety of client needs. This position also supports HR functions such as onboarding, compliance, payroll support, and client relationship management. You'll report directly to the Market Manager and work closely with both clients and candidates to ensure a seamless staffing experience.
Key Responsibilities

Source, screen, and interview candidates daily to build strong talent pipelines.

Match candidates to open positions and submit qualified applicants to clients.

Post jobs across online boards, social media, and other effective recruiting channels.

Write, edit, and interpret job descriptions.

Facilitate interviews, confirm start dates, and conduct quality check-ins with candidates and clients.

Manage onboarding and compliance, including I-9, E-Verify, background checks, drug screens, and payroll documentation.

Ensure accurate, timely, and legally compliant hiring practices.

Serve as a secondary client contact, building and maintaining trusted relationships.

Negotiate offers of employment, including compensation and benefits.

Assist with payroll, unemployment, and worker's compensation as needed.

Achieve weekly recruiting metrics, including lead generation and verified contacts.

Represent Nesco at job fairs, colleges, and community events to attract talent.

Support branch operations and collaborate with team members to achieve business goals.

Perform additional HR tasks, including counseling and terminations for contract associates, as needed.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.

Minimum 1 year of recruiting, staffing agency, or related HR/talent acquisition experience preferred.

Knowledge of Boolean search techniques a plus.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with candidates and clients at all levels.

Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Adaptable, driven, and energetic with a team-first mentality.

Familiarity with labor and employment laws preferred.
Physical Demands

Ability to remain in a stationary position about 50% of the time.

Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

Occasionally move boxes or equipment up to 25 lbs.

Ability to travel locally for client visits, job fairs, or other business needs.
