Electrical Project Engineer (On-Site)

Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer (PE) to join our team in Ambler. This role involves performing engineering calculations, designing electrical systems, and applying discipline-specific codes and standards with minimal supervision. The Electrical Project Engineer will work independently to resolve project challenges, exercise sound engineering judgment, and deliver high-quality results. This position also includes opportunities to mentor junior designers and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure complete and coordinated project delivery.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Minimum 8 years of work experience in electrical engineering and system design.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes and applicable building codes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven leadership skills with experience guiding clients and team members.
Responsibilities

Perform engineering calculations and design electrical systems in compliance with standards, procedures, and codes.

Apply practical knowledge to resolve project-related conflicts and ensure successful outcomes.

Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to discuss design scope, schedule, budget, and site considerations.

Estimate man-hours and assist with design budgets and schedules.
-
Assign tasks to designers and supervise their efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Deliver complete construction documents that meet client and project requirements.

Review and coordinate preliminary and final designs across disciplines.

Conduct final reviews of engineering drawings.

Maintain direct client communication to ensure alignment with project goals.

Perform quality assurance in coordination with technical managers.

Mentor and motivate junior designers, setting high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Meet fast-paced deadlines while ensuring quality design.
