Senior Project Manager
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Reports to: Project Director or above
Supervises: May supervise Senior Project Manager(s) or below
Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager II independently plans, monitors, and manages multiple complex projects across teams, departments, service centers, and client locations. This role serves as a single point of accountability, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Responsibilities include managing stakeholder relationships, securing resources, mitigating risks, and driving effective project outcomes. Moderate travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities

Lead project planning, resource allocation, and execution across multiple business units, physician practices, and technical teams.

Develop and manage project documentation, including charters, project plans, implementation toolkits, and communication strategies.

Coordinate cross-functional activities, manage dependencies, and ensure deliverables are completed throughout the project lifecycle.

Proactively identify, assess, and resolve risks and issues while providing transparent status reporting.

Mentor staff in applying project management controls and ensuring quality deliverables.

Facilitate meetings, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels.

Ensure projects meet requirements for quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare, revenue cycle, supply chain, or IT environments.

Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred.

Experience with healthcare systems, hospital operations, workforce management, or financial services a plus.

HCA, HealthTrust, or Parallon experience highly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Planner, and online collaboration tools.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Financial analysis and budget tracking experience.
Certifications:

PMP certification preferred.

Lean and/or Six Sigma certification a plus.
Special Skills:

Strong communication and transformation management abilities.

Healthcare, hospital system, or contact center operations experience beneficial.
