Overview
Our client, a leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Growth to lead the development and execution of initiatives that drive new business, strengthen client relationships, and expand into new markets. This executive role will be central to shaping the company's long-term growth strategy, with a strong focus on business development and innovation.
Responsibilities

Partner with executive leadership to design and implement the company's strategic growth plan.

Facilitate strategic planning sessions with leadership and staff to ensure organizational alignment.

Oversee business development and marketing initiatives to increase market share and visibility.

Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Develop capture plans and pursuit strategies for high-priority clients, markets, and geographies (including targeted expansion in Dallas and North Carolina).

Mentor technical and operational leaders to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

Champion innovation by introducing new technologies and approaches that elevate service offerings.
Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success in business development, ideally within civil engineering or an adjacent industry.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) strongly preferred.

Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and leading strategic growth initiatives.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience influencing at the executive and client level.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify growth opportunities and execute strategies effectively.

Civil engineering background is highly preferred.
