Conduct EHS Training, Audits / Assessments for JSA, LOTO, PPE and other safety requirements
Safety Committees – Organize and run the committee meetings
Support in the approval of work permits to employees and contractors
Manage the maintenance to emergency and fire protection equipment (hoses, fire extinguishers, spill kit, etc.)
Help Exceed site goal, near misses and safety observation reports by administering the program.
Assist with 6S documentation and audits
Conduct Emergency Drills
Update Site communication boards daily / Weekly / monthly
Conduct industrial hygiene sampling
Maintain chemical inventory system (HMM)
Adhoc Activities
Support PSSRs and MOCs
Incident reporting – Enter data into safety management system, liaise with corporate EHS, lead investigations and root cause analysis.
Environmental compliance- enter data into the safety management system to ensure compliance with various agencies
Overarching Activities
Acts with safety; and actively looks for risk reduction opportunities
Shop floor presence and engagement
Requirements
Minimum education High School Graduate
Operations experience/ EHS experience preferred.
Key abilities
Interface with multi-layers of the plant organization
Knowledge of lab activities workflow
Basic knowledge of EHS MS and requirements
