Nesco Resource is currently seeking a Sanitation Assistant for a long-time client in Ferndale, MI.
Shifts Available:
• 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday (Overtime based on production)
Job Duties:
• Obtain chemicals from storage area and fill and prepare foamer, manually apply chemicals to appropriate areas with foamer-sprayer as required.
• Remove any packaging material or food items that have not been removed from the production area.
• Pre-rinse item with water using hose to remove any food residue.
• Apply soap using mobile foaming unit to item. Scrub item using the appropriate color-coded brush.
• Rinse away all soap residue using water hose.
• Inspect item for cleanliness, re-clean if necessary.
• Sanitize using central sanitizer hose.
• Maintain accompanying areas to the production areas, floors, drains, and walls, and exterior areas of the plant as directed.
• Observe all areas of the plant for sanitation criteria, report deficiencies to sanitation supervisor and complete appropriate audit forms.
• Remove plastic wrap and unlock equipment.
• Perform general janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash bins, wiping down surfaces, and keeping restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas clean and stocked.
• Assist with routine facility cleaning such as dusting, cleaning windows, and maintaining entryways.
Physical Demands:
• Environmental exposure - cold conditions (40 degrees or below inside at all times).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
