This is a Machine Operator / Maintenance Floater position. The role is split between production and maintenance, so you'll need to be flexible and comfortable switching between job duties depending on what's needed that day.
On the production side, you'll handle parts, unpack new jobs, and prepare finished work for shipping. You'll operate forklifts to move materials around the shop and run different types of shot peen machines. You'll also check quality using gauges and strips, record paperwork, and make sure parts meet customer requirements.
On the maintenance side, you'll assist the maintenance technician with inspections and repairs, such as checking belts, hoses, and fluid levels, tightening bolts, replacing worn parts, and helping with jobs that require more than one person for safety reasons. You'll help order supplies and maintain maintenance records.
This position requires experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting—about 5 years is preferred. You'll need to multitask, follow instructions, and keep accurate records. Reading, writing, and basic math are part of the job, along with being safety-conscious and dependable.
Physical requirements include being on your feet, working with tools and machines, and lifting up to 50 pounds when needed. PPE such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe shoes, hearing protection, and gloves must be worn.
