Primary Purpose:
To perform a diversified range of inspections on incoming materials, in-process subassemblies, final assemblies, and to conduct final product testing according to established inspection methods and procedures.
Essential Functions:

Perform inspections using inspection method sheets and product performance standards

Use a variety of tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, microscopes, and other precision instruments to inspect incoming materials and production parts

Conduct inspections on final assemblies

Perform functional testing of products such as regulators and air cylinders using standard and special test equipment

Perform scheduled checks of inspection and production gauges

Notify supervisor of any defective work or inconsistencies in workmanship
Secondary Functions:

Maintain accurate records and complete inspection reports

Move materials as required during inspection activities

Detect and report improper equipment operation or unusual conditions to supervision

Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations

Perform other related duties as required or directed
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and written instructions
-
Proficient in using dimensional and inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)

Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
-
Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Physical Requirements:

Frequent hand and arm use in various directions; ability to grasp, pinch, and manipulate small parts

Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the work area

Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly

Exposure to oils and fluids through air or skin contact

Visual acuity for detecting small defects and using measurement devices

Able to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures

Must be able to manage periods of high workload with interruptions and unexpected demands
Education & Experience:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent
-
Preferred: Previous quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment:
-
Production and inspection floor within a regulated manufacturing setting
-
Required to wear personal protective equipment as needed

May be subject to noise, moving mechanical parts, and related industrial conditions
