The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all cabinetry products meet Ideal Cabinetry's quality standards before reaching our customers. This role involves performing inspections, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on cabinetry components and finished products.

  • Use measurement tools and visual inspection techniques to assess product quality.

  • Verify products meet company specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.

  • Record inspection results and maintain detailed documentation for traceability.

  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities and work with appropriate departments to resolve issues.

  • Monitor and maintain quality control documentation including inspection checklists and corrective action reports.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and production processes.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training

  • 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing, preferably in cabinetry, woodworking, or furniture.

  • Familiarity with quality control tools, inspection techniques, and measurement equipment (calipers, tape measures, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or deviations from standards.

  • Basic knowledge of production processes and materials used in cabinetry.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting (Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
