This position is NonExempt, and hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.

The role involves the production of high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Responsibilities include detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery according to documented procedures. Tasks may involve electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical devices and related components. Work may occur in a controlled cleanroom environment.
  • Utilize microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering, adhesive bonding, and various equipment.
  • Perform routine assignments according to specified and standardized procedures, with work closely and continually reviewed.
  • Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
  • Test units using computerized test equipment.
  • Repair and correct devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Package devices ensuring all parts are accurate and documentation is complete.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and address quality issues.
  • Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment during operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
  • Notify supervisor or lead of the need to replenish supplies/materials and report any production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics to improve the quality of operations.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the building.
  • Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English written procedures at a 6th grade level.
  • Good basic math skills at a 6th grade level.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
  • Good dexterity to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
  • Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma required.
  • 2 years of experience.
