Immediate openings are available for this position. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing basic hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment, as well as maintaining the needs of the fabrication facility. Responsibilities include facilitating inspections of shop equipment and conducting safety audits. The position requires the ability to create and maintain a maintenance schedule and provide written reports to management. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting is required, along with basic tools necessary for the job.

Examples of Daily Duties

  • Ensure all standard functions of the facility are operational and safe, including paint booth, lights, heaters, A/C, doors, roof, toilets, and outlets.
  • Ensure all standard and specialty functions of equipment are operational and safe, such as power tools, bench grinders, HEM saws, and chop saws.
  • Conduct and document all inspections as previously stated.
  • Maintain organization and inventory of the tool crib and company assets.
  • Maintain all company vehicles and keep track of tag dates.
  • Operate non-CDL company trucks and trailers as needed.
  • Perform a variable number of safety inspection and interaction functions.

Interviews must be scheduled.

Hours

40 hours per week, with (4) 10-hour shifts. Overtime may be required on Fridays.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift).
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and full body movement (e.g., climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching).
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required to safely operate welding equipment and hand tools.
  • Visual acuity is necessary to read blueprints, measure components, and inspect welds for quality and accuracy.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and fabrication shop conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including welding hood, gloves, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
