Position Title: QC Incoming Inspector

General Description
Responsible for the inspection of incoming finished goods and packaging materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of finished goods: batch quantity, country of origin, lot number, expiration date, label accuracy, SKU, and packaging conditions (e.g., seals, dents, scratches).

Perform verification for finished goods, pre-ship, and incoming materials.

Inspect raw packaging materials for quantity, labeling issues, and physical defects.

Verify label Art Codes against Ensur standards.
-
Quarantine new phase-in artwork until previous versions are depleted.

Document and comment on all inspection results using official Inspection Forms.

Notify QC Lead or Quality Manager immediately of any non-conformances.

Submit monthly KPI data to QC Lead/Quality Manager.

Apply appropriate stickers (“Approved,” “Hold,” or “Reject”) to inspected items.

Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) when required.

Turn in all inspection documentation daily.

Monitor receiving area for compliance with cGMP standards.

Verify artwork and product dimensions (weight, height, thickness, diameter, etc.).

Follow all company SOPs and quality policies.
-
Act as backup for QC Line Inspector when needed.
-
Ensure proper control and storage of incoming dietary supplements and labels.

Collect and retain lab samples according to SOPs and sampling plans.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Ability to read and write in English (label checks, documentation)

Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and GMP standards

Competency with simple math functions

Ability to use measuring tools (scale, caliper, ruler)

Clear, legible handwriting and accurate documentation
-
Comfortable with verbal and written investigations
-
Experience using quality inspection forms and labeling systems
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours

Good hand-eye coordination

Visual acuity for inspecting products and materials

Able to lift up to 5 lbs

Bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting as needed

Accurate written documentation and physical sample handling
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
-
1–2 years experience in a GMP-compliant production environment
-
1–2 years experience in line inspection or GMP audits
-
Experience in roles requiring high visual accuracy
