As the Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in planning and/or purchasing products designated for use in manufacturing replenishment and new product launches. You will be responsible for analyzing inventory to ensure consistency with production plans and company inventory policies, while interfacing with Finance to report financial impact. In this role, you will work closely with vendors, procurement, and internal teams to meet production plan requirements and resolve technical issues and ensure a smooth product supply.
The opportunity:
Plan and/or purchase, and manage inventory to ensure supply levels meet required parameters, achieve CDI goals, and maintain a smooth product supply chain.
Analyzes demand and assumes responsibility for production orders and/or purchase orders, and collaborate with vendors, procurement, and value stream teams to resolve technical issues related to procured materials.
Create, review, and communicate delivery schedules with third-party suppliers, production, management, and onsite and offsite warehouses.
Actively review safety stock levels, re-order points, and planning parameters for all materials, making necessary adjustments. Manage Material Master Data, including lead time, lot size, safety stock/time, etc., to support inventory and production planning.
Prepare and lead meetings on production priorities, raw materials, timelines, or delays.
Identify and mitigate the risk of materials reaching the end of life
Manages direct inventory up to value of *** M – responsible for cover days of inventory and write-offs
Who You Are: Minimum requirements:
You hold an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience (Bachelor's degree preferred)
2 years of related experience, and proficiency in SAP, ERP.
LEAN/6Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
Demonstrated successful experience in Kanban, VMI, and Consignment implementation.

You preferably have a degree in Supply Chain Management or business area, or equivalent level of experience with a demonstrated record of purchasing and planning in a related field.
Day to Day summary:
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or final approval of products through the production cycle. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules to maintain production and provides input to management. Interfaces with customer service, marketing, production, quality control and sales to review back order status, prioritize production orders and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling. Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages. May oversee the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.
