We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and housekeeping standards are consistently met across the plant during their shift.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage and develop a team of production staff while maintaining efficient workflows and supporting overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate hourly production staff to maintain safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Oversee daily plant operations from material handling through manufacturing, packaging, and shipping.

  • Schedule and allocate resources to meet production demands; ensure staff are cross-trained for coverage.

  • Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.

  • Support hiring and onboarding of new staff; manage temporary workers as needed.

  • Ensure company policies are followed and take disciplinary action when required.

  • Monitor equipment and production processes; assist with troubleshooting and provide input to maintenance and engineering teams.

  • Maintain accurate shift records, reports, and performance metrics (KPIs).

  • Communicate effectively with other supervisors and management regarding performance, staffing, and operational needs.

  • Lead regular team meetings and contribute to plant-wide production discussions.

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety procedures and good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to lead and manage a team of up to 30 employees.

  • Strong background in enforcing safety practices and workplace policies.

  • Hands-on technical knowledge of production machinery and troubleshooting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or similar system experience preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to work off-shift hours (2nd or 3rd shift).
