Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Rochester, NY
Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing team. In this role, you will ensure that all production processes and products meet company quality standards. You will inspect raw materials and finished products, monitor production methods, and take action or escalate issues to the Quality Assurance Manager as needed. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm, immediate start opportunity ideal for individuals with production and quality experience who are seeking long-term growth in a supportive and organized environment.
Shift:
1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay:
$18.00 per hour or above, based on experience
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement quality processes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform inspections of raw and final products using defined gaging and methods.
- Conduct first-piece article inspections for tools and production processes.
- Maintain documentation of inspection results, containment activities, and defects.
- Monitor off-line sorting/100% inspections and report any quality concerns.
- Assist with the quality training of new inspectors and production personnel.
- Ensure production processes start and operate in compliance with quality procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to support continuous improvement and production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes, process flow, and teamwork.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, work orders, and measurement data.
- Proficiency with mathematical concepts, measurement devices, and statistical data.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
- Must be able to stand and walk through entire shift.
- Most work occurs in a production environment with exposure to noise, machinery, airborne particles, chemicals, and fumes.
- Employees must be able to sit, stand, and use hands and arms for routine tasks.
