Human Resource Assistant
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible to 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

Position Overview
The Human Resource Assistant provides comprehensive support to the HR department, working closely with the site HR leader and cross-functional teams. This role balances recruiting, HR support, and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and a positive workplace experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Duties

Review candidate profiles and conduct resume prescreens using multiple interview techniques (phone, in-person, behavioral).

Partner with department managers to collect relevant position information.

Schedule and confirm interviews on managers' calendars.

Maintain strong candidate engagement by providing updates throughout the hiring process.
HR Duties

Schedule and coordinate pre-employment drug tests and background checks.

Support new hire orientations, including onboarding paperwork and I-9 completion.

Maintain accurate records of recruiting activity in PeopleSoft and track search efforts.

Organize and manage resumes and candidate profiles in company databases.
Administrative Duties

Sort, classify, and file hard copy documents (invoices, reports, correspondence, forms) using established systems (alphabetical, numerical, chronological).

Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, and monitoring office supply inventory.

Create new physical files, update records with current information, and archive outdated materials per company policy.

Greet clients and candidates professionally and courteously.

Maintain office equipment, supplies, and overall office cleanliness.
Qualifications

2 years of HR Generalist or Recruiting experience (manufacturing industry experience a plus).

High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; PeopleSoft and Adobe Sign experience a plus.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Punctual, reliable, and energetic, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
