Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for executing quality assurance processes to support customer order requirements. This role includes verifying supplier certifications, recording component identification and traceability, preparing data packages, and ensuring efficient movement of materials. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Review supplier certificates of compliance to ensure material conforms to purchase orders, contracts, and specifications.

Review contract requirements and prepare data packages for part orders as required.

Maintain and update the supplier database; ensure supplier certifications are uploaded in a timely manner.

Maintain OQE records and project documentation as required by customer orders.

Interpret customer drawings, contracts, work instructions, routes, bills of material, work sampling plans, and material specifications.

Prepare inspection forms for use by Production and Engineering Operations prior to assembly and testing.

Utilize ERP systems for data entry and process management.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts, government purchase orders, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of ASTM and Military specifications, DFARS, and customer standard clauses.

Experience interpreting CMM reports, NDT inspection methods, welding reports, and First Article Inspections (FAI).

ERP system experience required (IFS preferred).

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and multitasking skills.

Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.

Excellent communication skills with sound decision-making abilities.

Collaborative team player with ability to set and follow through on priorities.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.

1–3 years of relevant quality assurance or related experience.
