Nesco Resource is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Warehouse Lead for our client in Big Flats, NY.
Pay Rate: $23 per hour
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday
Description:
Supports the Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving Department by overseeing daily operations related to inbound and outbound processes, inventory control, and forklift operations. Provides training, guidance, and leadership to team members while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all warehouse activities. Acts as shift lead in the absence of a supervisor.
Duties:

Maintains integrity of inventory control area and ensures accuracy of records.

Moves skids of finished and unfinished products throughout the facility.

Prepares finished goods for shipment including shrink-wrapping, palletizing, and labeling.

Verifies paperwork, performs QA checks, and ensures compliance with customer specifications.

Receives incoming freight, including tankers; checks and logs product against paperwork.

Operates forklift safely and efficiently while monitoring surrounding personnel and equipment.

Ensures compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety regulations.

Leads employees during shift and provides training, guidance, and performance feedback.

Assists in monitoring CCP (Critical Control Points) as needed.

Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Reports conduct or performance issues to management.

Acts as department trainer and engages employees needing additional training.

Provides leadership in the absence of supervisor, ensuring objectives and safety standards are met.

Performs tank readings and inventory checks.

Supports food safety and product quality initiatives; reports issues to appropriate personnel.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
-
3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting (forklift experience preferred).

At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.

Forklift operation certification required.

Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, safety, and inventory control.

Working knowledge of Windows-based software.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
