Position Overview
The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating effective and engaging learning content by designing and developing instructional materials based on job, role, and task performance. This role partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs, apply instructional design principles, develop training content, guide training implementation, and evaluate learning outcomes.

The Instructional Designer also collaborates with SMEs to design curricula, communicate requirements to training administration for creation in the Learning Management System (LMS), identify target audiences, and assign training appropriately.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze learning needs and associated tasks.
-
Identify knowledge gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions.
-
Design and develop learning materials with instructionally sound objectives.
-
Create engaging and effective training solutions using ISD principles.
-
Partner with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
-
Develop knowledge and skill checks to measure learner progress.
-
Evaluate learning effectiveness through immediate and follow-up assessments (3–6 months post-training).

Communicate curriculum design requirements for LMS setup and administration.
Essential Focus Areas
Course Development
-
Minimum 5 years' experience developing classroom and self-study training using Microsoft 365.
-
Experience developing online training with Adobe Articulate Storyline.
-
Full application of the Instructional System Design (ISD) model (ADDIE).
-
Proven ability to design objectives, content, and test items aligned with learning outcomes.

Ability to measure learner performance and incorporate improvements into training.

Strong project management and organizational skills.
Curriculum Design

Minimum 2 years' experience designing multi-course training curricula.

Ability to:

Group objectives into appropriate courses.

Sequence content logically from simple to complex.

Define prerequisite knowledge and skills.

Establish learning solution timing requirements.

Develop formative and summative assessments.

Task Analysis
-
Minimum 2 years' experience conducting task analyses.

Ability to translate task analysis into effective training content.
-
Experience identifying task conditions, standards, tools, and steps, then integrating them into course materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in developing learning materials and using authoring tools.

Comments for Suppliers – Minimum Requirements

7 years' experience performing training needs analyses.

5 years' experience developing course materials, including instructor and learner guides.

9 years' experience using Microsoft 365.

2 years' experience developing online training with Adobe Articulate Storyline.

2 years' experience designing training curricula (minimum of two courses).
