Data Analyst – Global Trade Compliance (Entry-Level)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, depending on team needs)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to support our global trade compliance team. This entry-level role is well-suited for individuals with strong business acumen who are eager to grow in international trade, compliance, and data operations. The Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting import/export activities, managing trade documentation, and ensuring alignment across internal teams and external partners, including brokers and freight forwarders.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and organize import/export documentation, including commercial invoices and certificates of origin.

Collect and validate trade-related certificates to ensure compliance with customs regulations.

Assist in the classification of goods using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.

Maintain, validate, and analyze trade data within ERP and compliance systems.

Monitor international shipments for customs clearance and escalate delays or issues.

Conduct reviews of country of origin and valuation data.

Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, procurement, finance) and external stakeholders (freight forwarders, customs brokers).

Communicate clearly and professionally with brokers and partners to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

Translate complex trade and regulatory data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field – or equivalent experience.

0–2 years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, customs operations, or data analysis.

Basic understanding of import/export regulations and documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information across diverse audiences.
