About the Role

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Director to take ownership of the full cycle of materials management and logistics. This individual will be responsible for everything from sourcing specialized components to ensuring timely delivery of finished products. The position requires balancing cost control with supplier quality, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating closely with production teams. Because of the nature of the work, some domestic and international travel will be part of the role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategy: Design and implement supply chain initiatives that improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

  • Oversee Operations: Direct purchasing, inventory oversight, warehousing, and transportation activities.

  • Vendor Relations: Build strong supplier partnerships, negotiate favorable terms, and monitor vendor performance.

  • Measure & Improve: Track performance indicators, troubleshoot issues, and roll out improvements where needed.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to keep schedules on track.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all regulations are followed, including import/export standards and safety requirements.

  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop supply chain and logistics staff.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Engineering (Master’s preferred)

  • 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related operations within a manufacturing environment

  • Proven experience leading teams and managing people

  • ERP/MRP system knowledge

  • Strong skills in negotiation, analytics, and problem solving

  • Professional certifications (such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM) are a plus


Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

  • Travel: Some domestic and international travel required

  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with periodic facility walk-throughs; occasional lifting up to 25–30 lbs may be required
