Electromechanical Assembler
Contract to hire
1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Summary
Will be responsible for assembling products in accordance with documented procedures and drawings. The individual must be self-motivated with a positive attitude that fosters a team environment.
Daily Activities will include:
- Prep of mechanical subassemblies.
- Assembly and wiring of power electronic assemblies
- Installation into cabinets; crimping, labeling, dressing
- Building wiring harness assemblies and subassemblies.
- Hand Soldering electronics assemblies desired but not required
- Final product assembly and packaging
- Peer inspection
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar position
- Ability to read assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
- Soldering (IPC certification preferred)
- Experience with both metric and standard units
- Use of various hand tools (tweezers, crimpers, microscopes, wire cutters, etc.)
- Understanding of ESD and of how to work within an ESD controlled environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A demonstrated attentiveness to detailed oriented tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards desired
- Experience with 5S and Lean principles desired
