Nesco is in search of a Mechanical Engineer to work one of our clients based in Danbury, CT.
 
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in the design, manufacture and product support for standard and custom products to meet our clients’ applications. It is the responsibility of the Mechanical Engineer to interpret the needs of prospective customers and determine if their requirements can be satisfied with existing company technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively on complex projects while demonstrating proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Create and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications in accordance with ASME codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to enhance product designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards throughout the design and manufacturing processes.
 SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications.
  • Experience with system design methodologies using Simulink.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail in mechanical design.

  • 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Must pass drug and background screenings
