Job Description: Commercial Litigation Paralegal
Hybrid / Remote
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong understanding of federal and state statutes, court rules, and electronic filing systems (PACER, NYSCEF, e-Law/e-Track). Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Lexis or Westlaw is required, and cite-checking experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare routine court documents, including Notices of Appearance, Pro Hac Vice Motions, Notices of Motion, Subpoenas, and Stipulations.

Compile and draft legal documents for attorney review, such as discovery responses and affidavits.

Request, follow up on, and subpoena medical and educational records; coordinate with record vendors as needed.

Prepare exhibits and demonstrative evidence for depositions, hearings, and trial.

Conduct legal research using Lexis/Westlaw and public access sites to support case strategy.

Organize, analyze, and index records, discovery materials, and exhibits to support motion practice.

Assist attorneys with deposition and trial preparation, including witness preparation for general matters.

Review documents for privilege, relevance, and completeness prior to disclosure.

Categorize and analyze records, reports, and discovery responses.

Accurately capture and record billable time in compliance with firm policies.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of Commercial Litigation experience with Insurance Defense experience.

Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience handling large, document-intensive cases.

Proficiency in Lexis and/or Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and KOFAX Professional.

Excellent attention to detail, follow-up, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with multiple attorneys and teams.
