The Automation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems, robotics, and control equipment used in manufacturing and production environments. This role ensures the reliability and efficiency of automation systems to support continuous operations and improve productivity.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and calibrate automated systems, sensors, actuators, and robotics.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and related automation equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical manuals.

Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment issues and ensuring minimal downtime.

Assist in system upgrades, modifications, and integration of new automated equipment.

Document maintenance activities, system changes, and troubleshooting steps in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve system performance and implement process improvements.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies during maintenance and installation activities.
