Job Title: Production Operator – 3rd Shift
Schedule: Sunday evening to Friday morning, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Pay: Starting at $22/hour (for candidates with 3 years of relevant experience)
Shift Premium: Additional $1.50/hour
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Production Operator to support extrusion, mixing, and packaging operations on the 3rd shift. This role ensures safe and efficient equipment operation, maintains quality standards, and supports production goals with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Extrusion

Operate production equipment safely and efficiently

Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers

Set up and run machines per established guidelines and customer requirements

Monitor and adjust controls to maintain product quality

Clean, remove, and reinstall die heads as needed
Mixing
-
Set up and operate mixers for blending materials (resins, pigments, chemicals)

Verify and prepare raw materials

Load materials into mixer per batch instructions

Measure, weigh, and inspect materials

Print and manage barcoded labels
Packaging
-
Package and store finished products
-
Perform inventory checks on packaging supplies

Ensure proper labeling, sample collection, and product conformity
General

Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

Submit corrective/preventative action requests as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 3 years of experience in compounding or similar production environment

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Forklift license
-
Proficient in operating extruders, mixers, packing machinery

Familiar with units of measurement (SI units, Celsius, pressure units, etc.)

Basic math, reading, and computer skills

Ability to work overtime as needed

Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude
