Job Summary

The Benefits Specialist provides support to clients, employees, and internal partners by managing setup, ongoing processing, maintenance, and support of client accounts. This role delivers excellent customer service through calls, emails, and faxes, while ensuring accurate benefit enrollments, timely processing, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process benefit enrollments for PEO product offerings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Provide client and employee support regarding product offerings, including setup and use of Health & Benefits online.

  • Contact clients/employees through outbound campaigns as needed.

  • Research and resolve product/service issues, billing inaccuracies, audit findings, and carrier discrepancies.

  • Document and track all issues in CRM to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Obtain and maintain benefit documentation to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Section 125 plans.

  • Stay informed on product, regulatory, and policy changes affecting departmental processes and company guidelines.

  • Collaborate with Health & Benefit carriers to resolve client needs.

  • Participate in special projects, audits, and training sessions as required.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.

  • Basic understanding of HRIS, payroll systems, and Windows preferred.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
