JOB TITLE : Jr. Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION : Avon, OH
SHIFT : 1 st (Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm)
SALARY : up to $72,000 based on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Translate design information into manufacturing information through routings via ERP, models, and drawings, and various engineering software applications (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate design or applications' feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Provide cost and lead time estimates and technical information for customers through quotes and project proposals.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet specifications and standards.
- Work with basic AC/DC electrical circuits, assisting in the integration of electrical systems into mechanical designs.
- Participate in fabricating and assembling prototypes to test design concepts. Conduct tests and experiments on mechanical systems, record data, and prepare technical reports.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Troubleshoot any issues and develop practical solutions for production and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulations, including translating and providing technical interfaces with customer needs.
- Identify improvement opportunities within the production area to meet safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Assist the engineering department in improving processes and procedures to remain competitive in the power solution market.
- Abide by safety rules and procedures.
- Additional tasks assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to interact with customers, management, and co-workers
- Handling customer proposals; performing quotes and pricing.
- Ability to interact with customers, management, inter- and intra-departmental co-workers, sales, and production personnel. Heavy interaction/consulting with Production Supervisors exists.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.
- 3- 5 years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, 2D & 3D Design.
- Basic electrical engineering skills with AC/DC circuits.
- Experience in copper welding
- Project Management experience
- ERP System Proficiency – Infor Cloud Suite Industrial is preferred.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
