Welding Production Supervisor – Heavy Industrial Manufacturing

We’re partnering with a leading heavy industrial manufacturer to find a Production Supervisor who can combine strong leadership skills with technical expertise. This role is all about keeping production on schedule, maintaining high quality standards, and driving safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead & Motivate – Provide daily direction, problem-solving, and coaching to production employees.

• Drive Results – Monitor schedules, assign tasks, and adjust resources to meet deadlines.

• Plan Ahead – Create weekly production plans and ensure materials, tools, and drawings are ready for the team.

• Continuous Improvement – Spot inefficiencies, track metrics, and apply Lean practices to reduce waste.

• Safety & Quality – Promote a safe work environment while upholding top-tier quality standards.

• 5S & Compliance – Maintain workplace organization, complete compliance audits, and ensure accurate reporting.

• Problem-Solving – Develop recovery strategies when projects fall behind schedule.

• Collaboration – Partner with other supervisors to support cross-departmental goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5 years in heavy industrial or fabrication environments with supervisory duties.

• Technical Knowledge: Background as a Fitter/Welder in a code-regulated shop (ASME preferred).

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

• Process Expertise: Familiar with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

• Soft Skills: Strong communicator with proven problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours).

• Safely lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a welding/fabrication shop environment.

• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for technical tasks.
