Laser Operator
Lake Mary
2:30pm to 11pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret production paperwork to determine manufacturing requirements.

Verify that supplied materials meet production specifications.

Remove cut pieces from sheet material and inspect for defects such as edge quality and surface imperfections.

Accurately complete production paperwork and timekeeping records, including In-Process and Final Audit Reports.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with 6S Standards.

Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Properly complete and attach identification tags to produced parts.

Read blueprints to identify key characteristics requiring monitoring, seeking assistance when needed.

Monitor calibration of department equipment.

Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify part conformance.

Perform basic maintenance on laser machines, including gas and nozzle changes and nozzle centering.

Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support company quality objectives and actively contribute to achieving them.
Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Authorized to place HOLD tags on suspect or nonconforming products in accordance with NCMR procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 1–2 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
