Position Overview
We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Buyer to support our procurement team for a 9–12 week maternity leave cover. This role blends administrative support with light purchasing responsibilities—ideal for someone with exposure to purchasing processes, even if they're not a full-scale buyer.
Key Responsibilities

Process purchase orders and update order statuses in the procurement system.

Track vendor deliveries, follow up on late orders, and assist with supplier communication.

Maintain accurate purchasing records, including invoices, delivery confirmations, and order logs.

Assist with inventory monitoring, flagging low-stock items, and coordinating with warehouse or operations staff.

Support the team with basic cost comparisons and help evaluate simple vendor quotes.

Provide general administrative assistance—creating spreadsheets, organizing files, and responding to internal requests.
Ideal Candidate

Some familiarity with purchasing, procurement, or supply chain admin tasks—either through work, internships, or relevant studies.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. ERP or purchasing system experience is a plus.

Comfortable managing timelines and tracking multiple tasks.

Effective communicator who can collaborate well with internal teams and vendors.

Available for the full 9–12 week contract period and open to short-term assignments.
