General Statement of Duties
This role operates equipment within a machine shop to include a press brake, PLC saw, plasma cutting table, CNC equipment, and manual equipment to fabricate, cut, drill, and bend parts for production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate equipment in the machine shop.

Read and interpret prints to ensure accurate hole location, size, and type.

Operate manual drill press, including setup, for drilling, reaming, countersinking, spot facing, or tapping holes in metal or non-metal work pieces.

Lift and carry work pieces manually or using mechanical lifting devices.

Inspect workpieces using fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.

Replace worn cutting tools and operate drill sharpeners.

Cut, drill, and punch parts using various saws and cutting machinery.

Assemble, test, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic power units.

Fabricate or modify metal components for use in cylinders and weld fabrications.

Use measurement tools for setup, manufacturing, and verification of dimensional and pressure specifications.

Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic products.

Wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.

Participate in cross training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with material handling personnel for workflow organization.

Maintain a clean, organized work area.

Follow instructions from supervisors and complete other duties as assigned.

Safely operate cranes and forklifts if trained.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

Knowledge of operating grinders, lathes, and milling machines.

Strong math skills for precise measurements and calculations.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Ability to work cooperatively, with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
Desired:
-
Minimum five (4-5) years' experience in a machine shop environment specializing in metal fabrication or related products.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Forklift and/or crane operator experience.
