Shop Assistant
A busy fabrication shop in Catoosa, Oklahoma is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support day-to-day operations. This role involves inventory management, order fulfillment, receiving materials, and general warehouse duties. Candidates with forklift experience and knowledge of welded or electrical components are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Count and maintain inventory accurately
- Pick and fill orders from pick tickets
- Receive and stock incoming materials and parts
- Keep warehouse organized and stocked
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (preferred)
- Assist in supporting overall shop operations
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Familiarity with welded and/or electrical components is a plus
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work 40–50 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-hour day shift
- Interview must be scheduled in advance
- No per diem or relocation assistance provided
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
- Comfortable working on your feet for up to 10 hours per shift
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Visual acuity required for inspecting and measuring components
- Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment (dust, noise, varying temperatures)
- Must wear required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection
